6. Developing Leadership to Achieve Required Goals for Student Progress

Instructional leadership matters. So do results. Different Ways of Knowing’s strategies and tools help create welcoming and respectful school climates in which principals, administrators, teachers, students, families, and community members share a vision for the school centered on student success. The Different Ways of Knowing leadership course of study helps principals and school administrators make data-based decisions that ensure yearly progress for all student groups through practices such as annual self-assessments, the refinement of organizational structures to support teaching and learning, and the evaluation of classroom practices.
